Training a corgi can be rewarding and fun if you can focus on some very simple things. Starting at the day you receive your puppy, he or she will need a safe out of the way place to sleep, rest and feel secure. Basic commands (sit, stay, down) can be taught at the home on a routine basis. Leash training can be taught in the house as well. We recommend crate training right away. Crate training not only gives the new puppy owner piece of mind, but teaches the puppy its their own place. Early socialization and puppy training classes are highly recommended.
Putting your puppy in different situations will help develop a well mannered adult. Corgis are a sensitive breed by nature but are eager to please.
